I hated using dating apps. I’m 4’9, so I’m not going to fudge even an inch, because if we ever meet they’ll see. I’m not a good liar, so there’s that too. Because my height was usually directly under my photo, I never got real responses.
Only scammers. When they ask for money within the first 3 messages, it kinda tips you off.
So I figured out that I’m not good on paper. No more apps for me!
The thing about modern dating and dating apps is that psychologically we know that the more options there are/we perceive the harder it is for us to make a decision we’re happy with
yess it’s especially dificult when you have a wide range of options…. although im starting to think that you can make geniuine connections if you are faster than the algorithm.
That's such a good point, I think that's also why it's so easy to fall into surface connections online because that's what algorithms tend to reward (quick bite size connection)
"most people my generation think that a cold approach is weird. Or at least I do." – I think this is the key. Change your mind about that and I'm sure there are others who might be open to it as well. And you might find that you can meet some genuine people like that. But you have to embrace being weird.

"Every day it gets a little easier. But you gotta do it every day. That's the hard part"
