Your writing is really good, and this is your second piece that I’ve read. I really enjoy your topics! You’re writing about things that no one is brave enough to write about! Your courage will pay off! Haha just remember I was one of your OG subs 🤣🤣
hahahahahahaah ofc i will remember you! I hope you love my other posts as well... they are such diverse topics that I feel no one really talks about <3
This was such a beautiful read, and thank you for sharing it so openly. There’s a true and honest clarity in the way you describe pretty privilege, and it resonates more deeply than most people admit. Yes, some may see it as an advantage, but there’s also a very real loneliness in constantly feeling like you’re being perceived rather than understood. It captures that strange tension between visibility and isolation, and you articulated it with so much honesty.
I cannot relate to being good looking, but because I’m so “different” I can feel like I’m being genuinely looked at like others. Everyone’s expectations are different, but can still elicit similar feelings.
I loved this long reflection on what changes when you transform. I also lost a lot of weight basically over night as a teenager, I grew into myself and so much changed. Thank you for sharing this essay ❤️
Great post! This is something I've realized not so long ago. These things are certainly not talked about much enough. I imagine that it is particularly difficult to get compassion from others, who would see the problems you mention as negligible compared to the benefits you get. It's like making poor people to have compassion for emotional struggles of rich people. One can understand them intellectually, but it's hard to have the true empathy. Probably men have more chances to have it, looking at these issues from a different dimension.
In any case, thank you for sharing! It must have not been easy...
"Yet somehow, despite all of this, life became harder to navigate. Now I had to deal with issues I had never faced beforehand."
Alex, I love how you've explored this concept with such dignity, strength and honesty. I can totally relate. It is so interesting to consider the somewhat sadness that comes along with the realization that no matter what we do to avoid certain hardships, we will inevitably face other forms of pain. I guess it invites the need to find an inner peace amongst the surrounding chaos and perceptions. You are so so strong Xx
oh my god thank you for taking the time to write a comment! and such a nice one also ♥️♥️ im glad you enjoyed my essay and that you could relate to it! i feel honoured🙂↕️🙂↕️
The loneliness it brings, hits home! My mind struggled to understand why I’m not suddenly as happy as I thought I’d be, and your writing made me feel seen 💕
Whatever you become people will find a way to hate. This piece beautifully reflects that happiness and gratefulness are choices.

thank you for reading it! yes, it was not easy to share this tbh! 🫣
Jealousy is fear plus resentment. Fear because they've been outshown, resentment because they're too shallow to know any other response.
yes indeed!! tysm for all your comments! 🙂↕️🙂↕️♥️
